# Bleed Size and Safe Zone

### **Bleed Size & Safe Zone Guidelines**

Each product has specific **bleed size** and **safe zone** requirements, which are listed in the product description. These may vary depending on the product.

#### **What is Bleed Size?**

A **bleed** is the extra margin added to your design to ensure that no unwanted white edges appear after trimming. The color and graphics should extend beyond the final cut size.

✅ **Example Bleed Requirement: 1.5mm on each side**
If your actual product size is **89mm x 54mm**, you need to add **1.5mm bleed on each side**:

- **Width:** 89mm + (1.5mm × 2) = **92mm**
- **Height:** 54mm + (1.5mm × 2) = **57mm**

#### **What is the Safe Zone?**

The **safe zone** is the area where all essential elements (text, images, logos, etc.) should be placed to avoid being trimmed off.

✅ **Example Safe Zone Requirement: 2mm away from each side**
For an **89mm x 54mm** product:

- **Width:** 89mm - (2mm × 2) = **85mm**
- **Height:** 54mm - (2mm × 2) = **50mm**
